Speaking on eNCA, CDE executive director Ann Bernstein has reiterated the organisation’s call for President Cyril Ramaphosa to appoint a retired judge to lead an inquiry into National Prosecuting Authority and appoint the next NDPP. She say this must be a  “high level panel inspired by the 2019 SARS commissioner selection process. This would involve the President selecting one or more candidates who would then be interviewed by a high-level, independent and widely respected panel,” This interview follows the release of CDE’s latest report, Appointing the next head of the NPA.
