Localisation equals higher prices for inferior products

Speaking to Cape Talk’s John Maytham about the impact of government’s localisation policy on the economy, CDE’s executive director Ann Bernstein argues: “The government has to buy all sorts of services and products and, because they are forced to do so only through local firms, the costs are higher and often the products aren’t as good.”
