CDE calls on the GNU to map out a plausible growth strategy as a condition for passing the budget
CDE’s Ann Bernstein appeared on Newzroom Afrika to discuss proposals aimed at breaking the current impasse in South Africa’s national budget. In her conversation with Arabile Gumede, Ann emphasised the need for an urgent growth compact to be included in the budget discussions. “The GNU needs to get a lot more serious about growth and introduce some big, bold reforms,” she stated. This interview follows the release of CDE’s latest report, Dealing with the Budget Crisis: CDE Recommendations, which outlines critical steps for addressing the nation’s budget challenges.
