Newzroom Afrika’s Xoli Mngambi, was joined by CDE executive director, Ann Bernstein, who is calling on President Cyril Ramaphosa to appoint a retired judge to lead an inquiry into the structure, integrity, and performance of the NPA. With NDPP Batohi’s term nearing its end, Bernstein that the inquiry’s report “could form a road map for the new head of the NPA, to enable effective prosecution of high profile cases”. This interview comes after the release of CDE’s latest report, Appointing the next head of the NPA.
