CDE executive director Ann Bernstein recently joined Judge Dennis Davis, on Judge for Yourself for a discussion on whether the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is adequately prepared to enforce the rule of law and tackle crime and corruption in South Africa. Bernstein stressed that CDE’s latest report is “not there to attack the NPA, but rather to strengthen it.” NPA spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga also took part in the discussion. This interview follows the release of CDE’s new AGENDA 2024 report, ACTION FIVE: Energise the NPA.
